Yes, they do
Not really. Salads and vegetable sides
Yes, they offer the large family menu in the morning. Not a buffet, but big platters of certain breakfast items.
Food is always good and you get your money's worth.
SUPER DUPER down home comfort food prepared very well. Super nice wait person in Renée. Love the owner, Carol. Can't wait to go back.
Pretty good American diner type food. Breakfast served all day. More than just pancakes.
We loved it! Great service and the food was excellent. Smiley Pancakes for the kids!
Has some really good food. The coffee is the best because you can really taste the bean. The beacon is always good because they cook it until its super crispy just the way beacon should be.
Waitstaff was absolutely wonderful, food was okay.
Great place to eat. Just found out that they have a whopping 50% military discount on regular price entrees (not drinks, etc).
Gd food gd vibe gd ppl classy service
Excellent food with friendly staff. Love going here.
Vast menu!!! Lots of options to choose from 1st time visiting. Will definitely be returning!!!
The 1st time we came to this Restaurant everything was Great. The food and service was great. Ms.Debbie was our server and she was Awesome. We returned again Today...a few days later and The service was Horible. The 2 waitresses Gail and Renee were very UNPROFESSIONAL! They were loud and gossiping about all the customers. They were literally Arguing with another customer about politics. They even started talking trash about us because we asked for a to go box because our food was undercooked. We told her we would just take it home and put it in the oven that it was fine. Terrible Service Today. Will NOT be returning to this Restaurant unless they get rid of the 2 gossip trolls.
Love this place, been coming here for years. Always great food, friendly service, reasonable price, comfy environment.
Love all those country dishes, Incredible service, fabulous chef, one of the hidden jewels in San Diego! The whole family enjoyed fish & chips...loved it!
Great food. The price was reasonable.
Cat the server was a sweetheart! The homemade banana syrup was nice, unfortunately the “maple†syrup was not real maple, you’d never get away with this in New England ha ha. I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato pancakes but the chocolate chip were good. Cool diner experience for “diner fansâ€, but a little over priced for quality. I won’t be back but definitely good for a one time experience.
Loved it. Biscuits and gravy was yummy. My husband loved his french dip! Our server was nice and attentive.
Our breakfast was delicious with plentiful!Wait staff was friendly and she had a very quick wit!! ðŸ˜
My eggs and my hashbrowns tasted like fish. Nasty!
Waitress debbie is very friendly and attentive to your needs
I love going to the pancake house because the people are nice friendly and helpful they are so professional about how do you want your orders if you're looking for a good breakfast this would be the one for you
This is a great place to go when you can't decide what you want, the menu is amazing there is something for everyone and daily specials. We go at least once a month, the waitresses is a hit or miss, some are very friendly some are only friendly to the regulars, this might be why less and less patrons are there each time we go.
Really good food and well served
Excellent restaurant, good service, reasonable prices, military appreciation. Awesome food.
Our waitress, was great! The food was so bad, I couldn't eat Any, of it. Very upsetting. I will never go back.
There is absolutely no way thus place had a 4.3. I ordered steak and eggs and everything was pretty much gross. The steak was freezer burned and tasted almost rotten or very old anyway.. being very strange rubbery. The coffee was not good at all. The potatoes seem like they've been sitting around a long time. I should have ate it I don't feel very good. The service was good though.
If I could give this no stars I would. The waitress who sat us was rude the minute she saw my boss had a service dog. We asked to me sat at a half booth and when we did they told us that the dog had to go under the table. Alexander is too big to fit under the table, we asked if she wanted to move us to a different area and she just kept saying that he had to be under the table. Mind you these tables had barely any leg room for people let alone a dog. The whole time Alexander was laying down not getting in anyone’s way. But the server kept pressing the point so we left without even ordering.. never ever going back these people do not deserve anyone’s business.
I want impressed with the food although the French toast were really good. Service was good
The waitress was so sweet very small town homie. The food was average, but the service was 5 stars!
Family Owned Diner at the heart of El Cajon. Quality Food, great service and affordable menu
Nice local family restaurant. Has old fashioned 1970's diner look and feel. There should be something on the menu for most everyone. They serve breakfast all day. Have regular dinner specials. Salad was super fresh. Fish cooked to perfection. My only suggestions are that they may want to consider having a low carb menu and some keto pancakes for all the people with dietary challenges. Also a big part of visting a diner back in the day were the pie displays.
Generous servings of delicious, hot food as well as a friendly staff
Extensive Comfort Food Menu and Of Course Pancakes and Waffles! Great inexpensive experience! Looks like diners of old. Yup! Needs updating but these places once they update, never the same and the prices go up. Food is good and nothing over 18.00 on the menu. Daily Specials, open for Breakfast, lunch, Dinner and even a Friday night all you can eat fish and chips Dinner! 10.99! Service is always great! But I gave it 4 stars because most of the time you have to wait for your food. Most of the time only one cook. But if your not in a hurry enjoy! The food is good!
Good place to get American style food. Staff is friendly, breakfasts are great. One of the last American food restaurants in El Cajon. Just wish they stayed open a little later, esp in summer.
Was disappointed with service , had a coupon but unless.i are inside I couldn't use so ended up spending $30 I didnt have to spend, the food wasn't how i asked for to be prepared, ordered a dessert and insted.of putting the ice cream in a container they put it with the brownie and it melted on my.five minute drive home, fish was good
Very friendly people and food was great.
The absolute idea of small local feel here. we walk into this place and was placed to a younger time of history with the music and the old school diner feel. the food was more than fair price and was fantastic. would come again and reccomend others to come by.
Always nice folks working here. Good size portions, and a very casual and comfortable place to eat.
All you can eat fish fry was good as was the service; down home feeling
The food. AWESOME! The staff. AWESOME! The atmosphere. AWESOME! I love this place! ðŸ˜
So nice to go where you are remembered as you walk in. Always has been a go to place for friendly faces and comfort food!
Our family loves this restaurant. We have never been disappointed with their food. Hats off to the chef's. They have an AWESOME staff and you will be treated like you are part of their family. Also, as a side note, they keep everything spotlessly clean. Great food, wonderful family oriented atmosphere and we're all "Happy Campers".
It is family owned and operated so you always feel welcome and important as a customer and the food is great!
Good food, homey atmosphere, and a funny/grumpy waitress made for a fun breakfast.
This place is the best! It was started up by a man who originally worked for IHOP restaurant. Our waitress was Gail and she had a great sense of humor. She has worked there for 16 years knew a lot of the patrons by name. The food was just like homemade and is now our new go to for breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinner and we will be trying those also. If you're looking for down to earth old fashioned genuine good people then go to the Pancake House.
Gail is the best. You go here? Get Gail. She deserves all the tips
It was very good and it was inexpensive me and my family (5 person) and it only costed 44 dollars I'm surprised
This place has really good food at decent prices
I'm pretty sure I paid $14 for a plate of Mrs Paul's frozen fish fillets and some Gordon's shrimp. The service was friendly and fast and the atmosphere inviting. I will have to revisit to try the namesake pancakes.
Absolutely delicious! If we lived near this place we would be in trouble! Great food and wonderful service!
This was mine & my husband's first time eating there. Gail was our waitress & she was very upbeat & friendly. The food was great with good size portions.
